If I have never used the cash advance on my card, should I be getting a cash advance finance charge?

Judy asked:

I called and asked for a PIN number, because I thought I was going to need a cash advance, but I ended up never using it. I've been paying this charge for a while and it adds up! It's only around $3, but if it's not something I should be charged I want to address it!

The credit card company obviously made a mistake.
If you have never taken a cash advance – then you should have never been charged the fee.
Call the credit card company, they will gladly remove it.

Note: They may only remove it for the last monthly statement.
Once you pay a bill without disputing anything on it – it means you agree to all the charges.

You are not talking about a balance transfer for some reason?
    That's a different animal.
